PMI Student Clubs

How can students gain real project management experience before they graduate?

PMI Student Clubs provide one way to do that.

Professional network connecting students with PMI members, mentors, and an international community. Student Clubs also help universities strengthen the connection between academic knowledge and practical experience.

Who is it for?
University students are interested in project management, future project leaders and innovators, and universities looking to strengthen links between theory and practice.

Main activities:
Workshops, networking, volunteering, training, and community events.

PMI PMO CZ Community

Join us and shape the future of PMO through community and practice.

The PMI PMO CZ Community brings together professionals working in PMO, program management, portfolio management and transformation across Czechia and neighbouring countries.

The community provides a space for sharing experience from real organisations, discussing new approaches and supporting the development of PMOs from mainly administrative functions toward strategic partners that create measurable organisational value.

Regular in-person meetups are hosted by different companies and combine presentations of real PMO journeys and practices with workshops, case studies and knowledge sharing.

The community also works with topics and resources such as the PMI PMO Practice Guide, PMO Value Ring™, Flywheel™ framework and PMI-PMOCP certification, while exploring innovation, AI and emerging practices in the PMO field.

Another important ambition is to strengthen the international visibility of Czech PMO professionals, connect the local community with the global PMI and PMO ecosystem and position Czechia as an important hub for PMO and program management expertise.

Who is it for?
PMO professionals, program and portfolio managers, strategy and transformation leaders, consultants and other professionals responsible for strategic initiatives.

Main activities:
PMO meetups, workshops and case studies, knowledge sharing, professional development, support for PMO excellence and international engagement.

Who are we looking for?
The community welcomes professionals at all levels. At this stage, it is particularly interested in engaging experienced professionals and senior leaders who can apply PMO practices and frameworks within their organisations and share their experience with the wider community.

Sustainability Project Management — SPM

Learn with us how to bring sustainability into the way we manage projects.

How can project management contribute to long-term sustainability? This is the central theme of Sustainability Project Management.

SPM brings together five professional organisations from Czechia and Slovakia and connects project professionals, students, academia and businesses.

The initiative provides a space to explore how sustainability influences project decisions and how sustainability principles can be translated from broad concepts into real project management practice. It also connects academic knowledge with real business challenges and encourages cooperation across professional disciplines.

One of its activities is a student hackathon that brings together project management, innovation and sustainability around a real business challenge.

The initiative demonstrates the value of cross-border and cross-disciplinary cooperation and creates opportunities for professionals, students, universities and companies to learn from each other.

Who is it for?
Project professionals interested in sustainability, university students, academics and educators, companies, and experts willing to share practical challenges and experience.

Main activities:
Czech–Slovak cooperation across professional organisations, connecting practitioners, universities and companies, knowledge sharing around sustainability in project management, and student initiatives such as the sustainability hackathon.

Who are we looking for?
Participants, experts and mentors, university and company partners, volunteers and sponsors.

You Don't Have to Be “Just a Participant”

Most PMI Czech Republic initiatives are built by people who have decided to contribute their time, knowledge and experience to the community. There are therefore many different ways to get involved. You can join as a participant, volunteer, mentor, speaker or expert, partner, or sponsor.

Some programs are looking for people who want to learn and develop. Others need experienced professionals who are ready to share what they know. Many are also looking for organisations interested in cooperation, partnerships or sponsorship.

PMI is not only about what you can gain from the community. It is also about what you can bring to it.
