Communication strategy in the technical environment - Bridging Project Management and Deep Tech

Ways of Working

In complex IT infrastructure projects, project managers often operate between two worlds — business and deep technical expertise — without being the deepest technical experts themselves. This session explores how to successfully bridge that gap: translating technical complexity into business decisions, navigating conflicting expert opinions, and leading delivery in environments where uncertainty is the norm.

Based on real-world experience from large-scale infrastructure transformation projects, the talk provides practical strategies for managing vendors, structuring unclear problems and driving decisions without having all the answers.

Attendees will leave with concrete tools to lead confidently in technically complex environments — even when they are not the technical experts in the room.

Michaela Stankov is a Senior Project Manager with over a decade of experience in IT, working on large-scale projects for international organizations.

She has also held roles as a People Leader and Lead of Operations, bringing a broader perspective on delivery and organizational dynamics.

She currently supports a major infrastructure transformation program in a highly technical environment, working closely with network architects and engineers to bridge the gap between technical complexity and business delivery.
